In the year 2013 we lost many stalwarts of Kannada cinema starting from S Ramanathan a veteran from Karnataka who made it big in Hindi cinema industry. Producer of Bombay to Goa, brother of our lovely Shivaramanna – Ramanthan death was first shocking news.

 

It was shock when D Rajendra babu also died of heart attack but even more shock when our colleague RG Vijayasarathy passed at MS Ramaiah hospital. RGV was a man with many dreams could not survive the call of ‘Yama Dharmaraya’.

 

In March 2013 we lost Raja Sulochana veteran actress, in April the unforgettable Dr PB Srinivas died on 14th. In May two production managers Anand Singh and Vishnukumar, in June Kunigal Nagabhushan, HV Prakash and Umashivakumar, director Vinod Khandali even before release of ‘Neralu’ passed away, In July Rippon Malhotra producer, Hemanth a very young actor of ‘Nenapinangala’, Praan Hindi film actor who was in ‘Hosa Raaga’ Kannada cinema, on 17th of July Sringar Nagaraj father of actor Ramkumar who made ‘Pushpaka Vimana’, another production guy Kallesh, Malgudi Days maker TS Narasimhan, In August Ravikumar Dr Vishnuvardhana brother also connected to cinema and theatre, Actress Ramya father RT Narayan, Stengun Nagaraj, producer Ravi of Tapori, Telugu actor Srihari who acted in Kannada films too, in October it was still photographer Kengeri Basavaraj, Manna Dey veteran Hindi and other language singer who had a few Kannada film songs to his credit, D Rajendra Babu veteran director, Rajesh of Jungle Jackie and Love is Poison, in November Military Doddanna, cameramen Mallikarjun, In Srikantaiah in the production wing relative of Srinagara Kitty, cameraman Sundarnath Suvarna, TV actor Ashok Kumar, Ramesh Babu production Manager passed away.
